ONE DIET COKE FOR DANTE ALIGHIERI
We are the thieves of old time
And so we can't do nothing
But replay old dreams
Perhaps not in the easy way Plato thought
And the hellish one (Sysiphus) acted
But in a sort of trance (fate of the dead)
Like drunken sailor´s songs
Where we become
Not the drink nor the drinker,
But their disenchanted shades
Run and elongated by the current mills
Of crystal clear despair.
Nevertheless, let´s take our cups high
Filled to the brim
With the vipers of disgust,
And offer a diet coke to our Prince!
